Joe Russell is a former Top 200 ranked ATP world tour player living in Asia who won over 15 tournaments while based in Osaka, Japan.
He is a long-time Singaporean resident from Monterey, California, USA. Joe graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Arts(BA) Degree in Psychology. Joe’s professional career highlights included playing former World #1 Ivan Lendl in the USD 1.2 million Suntory Japan Open. Incidentally, Lendl became the coach to former World #1 Andy Murray, who won both Wimbledon and US Open titles.
After his playing days, Joe resided in Singapore and has coached at the highest national level (Director of STA National Junior Elite Training Program for the country’s top-ranked juniors) and worked with many UHNW clients throughout the region. At the grassroots level, Joe has co-founded SITA Pte Ltd and SITA Coaching Pte Ltd, which provide tennis coaching and management services to various prestigious clubs and private facilities in and around Singapore. SITA Tennis Academy Centre, located in the heart of the city in the ever-popular chic Dempsey Hill area, is one of the top training centers in Singapore for juniors and adults.
Additionally, Joe Russell Tennis International (JRTI) undertakes case-by-case tennis management consultancy at 5-star resorts and clubs in and around Asia and the Pacific Rim (Clients include Starwood and Hilton, as well as high-end smaller boutique brands). JRTI focuses on facility design and enhancement for companies interested in building first-class facilities; with world-class tennis programs and coaching, holiday camps, corporate clinics, and retreats. JRTI services various destination resorts in S.E.A., such as Bali, Phuket, Koh Samui, Bangkok, Jakarta, and the west coast of the U.S.A. Recently, JRTI has transitioned into event management, focusing on tennis and pickleball-related events.
